Weekend subway closures and service adjustments

This Sat., Dec. 14 and Sun., Dec. 15, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between York Mills and St Clair stations due to work being conducted at track level.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel Trans buses will operate between York Mills and St Clair stations for any customer requiring assistance.

Lawrence Station will be closed. All other subway stations will be open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.

Service adjustments

From 9 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 12 until 5 a.m. Fri., Dec. 13, buses will replace streetcars on St Clair Ave. W. between Gunns Loop and Oakwood Ave. to accommodate electrical repairs. 512/312 St Clair streetcar service will operate as far west as Oakwood Loop. Replacement buses will operate along St Clair Ave. W., between Vaughan Rd. and Gunns Loop.
On Fri., Dec. 13 between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., 34C Eglinton East buses will divert eastbound only to accommodate road work at Don Mills Rd. and Eglinton Ave. E. Buses will operate along Eglinton Ave. E., Ferrand Dr., Rochefort Dr. and Don Mills Rd.
From 9 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 13, until Mon., Dec. 16, 69 Warden South and 135 Gerrard bus routes will divert to accommodate a crane lift at Warden Ave. and Danforth Ave. 69 Warden South will divert both ways along Kingston Rd., Danforth Ave. and Warden Ave. The 135 Gerrard route will operate both ways using Warden Ave., Danforth Ave., Kingston Rd., Warden Ave., and Clonmore Dr.
Beginning at 11 p.m. on Tues., Dec. 17, until Wed., Dec. 18 at 4 a.m., streetcar service along Broadview Ave. will divert to accommodate Toronto Water work between Queen St. E. and Danforth Ave. 504B/304 King Service will operate to Distillery Loop. Replacement buses will run from King and Parliament St. to Broadview Station. 505/305 Dundas will operate as far east as Bay St. Replacement buses will operate from Dundas St. W. and Spadina Ave. to Broadview Station.
On Mon., Dec. 16, between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., the 29 Dufferin bus route will not service stops south of Springhurst Loop due to filming taking place in the Exhibition Grounds.
