In response to ridership demand, the TTC will increase weekday subway service on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. More trains will provide a demand-responsive service across the day to address crowding and shorten wait times.
Service will also increase at select times on the 501 Queen and 301 Queen Night, 303 Kingston Road Night, and 305 Dundas Night streetcar routes. Bus routes with increased service include 72 Pape, 102 Markham Rd., 129 McCowan North, and 941 Keele Express.
With the early completion of streetcar track renewal on King St. W., 504 King will resume service through Liberty Village. 504 King and 304 King Night will resume a through-service along King St. 303 Kingston Road Night streetcars will also operate via King St. 501 Queen will return to regular routing to Humber Loop via Queen St., with a late evening and 301 Queen Night service to Long Branch Loop.
A second stage of work to modernize streetcar power infrastructure along the waterfront will begin. This stage will focus on completing the upgrades between Spadina Ave. and Bathurst St. Starting Sunday, 509 Harbourfront streetcar service will be restored between Union Station and Spadina Ave. A modified branch of 510 Spadina replacement buses will be extended west, and serve stops between Spadina Ave. and Exhibition Place.
In addition to service improvements on key routes, the TTC is also making adjustments to select routes serving seasonal summer destinations, and to accommodate construction.
