TTC Good Friday service and upcoming subway closures

This Fri., Apr. 18, the TTC will be running a holiday service for Good Friday. All TTC routes will operate a Sunday service schedule but will start earlier at approximately 6 a.m. Routes that do not normally operate on Sundays will not operate on Good Friday.

Easter events

Easter events being held in the city will impact some TTC services this long weekend. On Friday, the 506 Carlton will be diverting between 2:45 p.m. to 6 p.m., for the St Francis of Assisi Church Good Friday Procession. Customers may experience delays on the 505 Dundas during the event.

On Easter Sunday, the 64 Main, 92 Woodbine South and 501 Queen will be diverting between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to accommodate the annual Toronto Beaches Lions Easter Parade.

Sunday late opening – St George to Broadview

This Sun., Apr. 20 only, subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, between St George and Broadview stations, will start by 11 a.m. to accommodate beam replacement work on the Prince Edward Viaduct.

Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding locations. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Monday to Friday – Early nightly subway closures between Jane and Ossington stations

Mon., Apr. 21, through Fri., Apr. 25, subway service on the portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth between Jane and Ossington stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Runnymede, High Park, Lansdowne and Dufferin stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
