Upcoming scheduled subway closures and service adjustments
This Sat., Feb. 1 and Sun., Feb 2 there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St George and St Andrew stations due to scheduled track work and station upgrades.
While shuttle buses will not operate due to traffic conditions, the TTC is increasing service on downtown surface routes to ensure customers have convenient transit options.
For downtown travel to the University Ave. side of Line 1, customers can take a 510 Spadina bus from Spadina Station, and transfer to connecting eastbound services at College St. (506 Carlton streetcar), Dundas St. (505 Dundas streetcar), Queen St. (501 Queen), or King St. (504 King).
On the Yonge side of Line 1, customers can connect to westbound services at Wellesley Station (94 Wellesley), College Station (506 Carlton streetcar), Dundas Station (505 Dundas streetcar), Queen Station (501 Queen streetcar on Church St.), or King Station (504 King streetcar).
Museum, Queen’s Park, and St Patrick stations will be closed during these hours. All other stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance. Extra Wheel-Trans vehicles will be available in the downtown core for any customer who needs an accessible connection.
Monday to Thursday – Early nightly subway closures between St Clair and Finch stations
Mon., Feb. 3 through Thurs., Feb. 6, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair and Finch stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned track work.
A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.
Lawrence Station and North York Centre Station will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.
The Old York Mills Rd. entrance at York Mills Station will be closed during these hours. At Sheppard-Yonge Station, the entrances at Poyntz Ave. and Anndale Dr. will also be closed.
While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
87 Cosburn and 322 Coxwell Night service adjustment
From 5 a.m. on Fri., Jan. 31 until 8 a.m. on Mon., Feb. 3 the 87 Cosburn and 322 Coxwell Night services will detour due to sewer replacement work. Buses will not operate along Cosburn Ave. between Broadview and Pape avenues, and instead run both ways along Broadview Ave., O’Connor Dr., and Pape Ave.
The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
