Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments

Monday to Friday – Early nightly subway closures between St Clair and Finch Stations

Mon., Jan. 13 through Fri., Jan. 17, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair and Finch stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned track work.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate between St Clair and Finch stations for any customer requiring assistance.

Lawrence and North York Centre stations will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.

Dundas station entrance closure

Beginning at 9 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 12, until 5 a.m. on Mon., Jan. 13, the northeast entrance to Dundas Station at 10 Dundas St. E. will be closed to accommodate signage installation. Customers with accessibility needs can use the southeast side entrance that connects to the northbound subway platform. Customers can use the southwest entrance to access the southbound platform.

Service Adjustments

• Until mid-January, 509 Harbourfront and 511 Bathurst routes are diverting to accommodate TTC infrastructure work along Fleet St. 509 Harbourfront streetcars are operating to Charlotte Loop via Spadina Ave, while 511 Bathurst streetcars are operating to Union Station, via Queens Quay. 511B Bathurst replacement buses are running between Bathurst St. and Queen St. W., and Exhibition Loop.

   

• On Sat., Jan. 11 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., the 12 Kingston Road and 117 Birchmount South routes will divert in both directions due to a crane lift on Kingston Rd. near Victoria Park Ave. Buses will redirect from Victoria Park Ave. onto Gerrard St., Clonmore Dr., Warden Ave. to Kingston Rd.

   

• Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wed., Jan. 15, until 7 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 16, 501/301 Queen and 503/303 Kingston Road streetcar service will divert to accommodate rail repairs at Queen St. and Logan Ave. Streetcars will redirect from Queen St. and operate along Gerrard St. between Broadview Ave. and Cowell Ave. Replacement buses will operate on Queen St. between River St. and Kingston Rd.
