Upcoming subway closures and service adjustments

This Sat., Jan. 18 only, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between York Mills and St Clair stations to accommodate Metrolinx work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate between York Mills and St Clair stations for any customer requiring assistance.

Lawrence Station will be closed. All other subway stations will be open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Monday to Friday – Early nightly subway closures between Lawrence West and St George stations

Mon., Jan. 20 through Fri., Jan. 24, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence West and St George stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate planned track maintenance.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate between Lawrence West and St George stations for any customer requiring assistance.

Dupont station will be closed during this time. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
