Upcoming scheduled subway closures on Line 1 Yonge-University

This Sat., Mar. 22 and Sun., Mar. 23 there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between St Clair and Finch stations due to scheduled track work, installation of 5G technology at track level, and work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Shuttle buses will run stopping at each station along the route. Customers who require Wheel-Trans service can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

Lawrence Station and North York Centre Station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load PRESTO cards, purchase PRESTO tickets, and connect to surface routes.

Monday to Friday – Early nightly subway closures between Eglinton and Finch stations

Mon., Mar. 24 through Fri., Mar. 28, subway service on the portion of Line 1 Yonge-University between Eglinton and Finch stations will end nightly at 11 p.m. to accommodate state-of-good repair structural maintenance, the installation of 5G technology at track level, and work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance after service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and state-of-good-repair work.
