This new route will replace service on Scarborough Golf Club Road, Brimorton Road and Orton Park Drive currently provided by 54B Lawrence East.
- Temporary stops will be installed on Orton Park Road at Slan Avenue/Botany Hill Road and at Ellesmere Road and upgraded to permanent stops and bus shelters later in 2024.
- 54B will be extended to Morningside Avenue via Colinsgrove Road.
- Some stops on the 954 Lawrence East Express route between Scarborough Golf Club Road and Kingston Road will be adjusted.
- 185 Sheppard Central will operate between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills stations, replacing service currently provided by 85J (Sheppard-Yonge Stn-Don Mills Stn).
- 904 Sheppard-Kennedy Express will operate between Don Mills station and Kennedy stations via Scarborough Centre Station replacing the service currently provided by 985A (Don Mils Stn-Kennedy Stn via SCS Express).
The following routing adjustments will simplify travel and wayfinding for customers along the Sheppard Avenue East corridor:
- 85A will continue to operate between Don Mills Station and Rouge Hill GO Station. Additional service will be added in off-peak periods to increase the number of connections to Lakeshore East GO trains.
- 85B will be adjusted to terminate at Meadowvale Loop to match the branch designation with 985B (Don Mills Stn-Meadowvale Loop Express).
- 85C will be adjusted to terminate at Toronto Zoo. All other trips between Don Mills Station and Rouge Hill GO Station via Toronto Zoo will be removed.
