Stay informed, travel smarter, and make the most out of your journey with our enhanced email alerts
Since 2009, our email alert system has been a crucial tool in providing customers with real-time information about service disruptions affecting subway, streetcar, bus services, and elevators. To further improve the email alert system, on June 24, 2024, we are launching an update that will provide customers with more detailed information to help them make more informed travel decisions before and during their trips.
What's New?
Service alert emails for surface routes will include the Stop IDs for any bus or streetcar stops that are temporarily not being serviced due to a disruption. These Stop IDs will appear in bold after the disruption description. See the example below.
“Dear Customer,

Benefits
- Pre-trip planning: You will now know if your stop is not in service before leaving your location, allowing you to adjust your trip ahead of time.
- Real-time trip adjustments: If you are already at a stop, the alert will prevent unnecessary waiting and enable you to go to the nearest in-service stop or take an alternate route.
- Enhanced Wheel-Trans Service: Wheel-Trans customers with existing trips will be notified by phone, with options to reschedule. All customers will be notified of the service disruption by e-mail plus SMS message.
