October service adjustments
Approximately every six weeks, the TTC adjusts service on buses, streetcars and subways. Some of the changes can be small like operating a different type of bus along a route and some can be larger if they are related to planned construction or routing changes.
Starting October 6, 2024, the following service adjustments will be made:

Construction projects ending
The streetcar track work at King and Shaw streets has ended and the following service will return to their regular route.

Schedule adjustments

- 32 Eglinton West
- 34 Eglinton East
- 60 Steeles West
- 61 Avenue Road North
- 114 Queens Quay East
- 128 Stanley Greene
- 503 Kingston Road
- 322 Coxwell
- 324 Victoria Park
- 332 Eglinton West
- 334 Eglinton East
- 341 Keele

Service improvements
Service will be improved at various times of the day on the following routes:

Permanent routing changes
The following routes will permanently change.
Bus service on the 72A (Thorncliffe Park-Eastern via Pape Station) branch will be replaced with service on the 72C (Thorncliffe Park-Commissioners via Pape Station) branch to make it easier to connect to 114 Queens Quay East buses in the morning and afternoon peak periods Monday to Friday.
Service on 134 Progress will be improved to make it easier to connect to Centennial College Progress Campus on weekends. As a result, service on the 134A (Scarborough Centre Station-Finch) will be removed and replaced with service on the 134D (Scarborough Centre Station-Finch via Centennial College) in the early between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Saturdays.

Seasonal service changes
Schedules will be adjusted on the following routes due to seasonal changes in customer demand:
- 29 Dufferin
- 92 Woodbine South
- 200 Toronto Zoo
- 201 Bluffer’s Park
- 202 Cherry Beach
- 329 Dufferin
- 960 Steeles West Express

Construction service changes
Service on the following routes will change as a result of ongoing construction:
- 509 Harbourfront – phase two of overhead construction
Partial 509 Harbourfront streetcar service to Union Station will be restored. Streetcars will operate between Union Station and Queens Quay and Spadina Avenue. Customers traveling further west towards Exhibition Loop can board 510D Spadina replacement buses which will operate between Queens Quay and Spadina Avenue and Exhibition Loop.
- 510 Spadina – updates to replacement bus service will now operate as follows:
- 510C Spadina replacement buses will operate between Spadina Station and Spadina Avenue and King Street West.
- 510D Spadina replacement buses will operate between Spadina Station and Exhibition Loop. These buses will use curbside stops along Queens Quay West to Exhibition Loop.

What is the TTC doing to keep me safe?
The TTC has already taken a number of significant steps to enhance safety, including:
- Increasing the presence of Special Constables, as well as hiring additional Special Constables;
- Adding more Station Supervisors, Chief and Mobile Supervisors, as well as Assistant Managers in subway stations to audit station security on a regular basis;
- Deploying more uniformed TTC employees throughout the system who can contact Transit Control directly to assist customers;
- Increasing Streets to Homes workers in hotspots in the system to help individuals in need find supports;
- Improving and adding cameras in all stations and on all vehicles; and
- Having Designated Waiting Areas on every subway platform, with recently upgraded and easier-to-use two-way communications systems that link directly to TTC staff.
Also, more than 50 security guards that have daily experience dealing with under housed people in crisis will also temporarily work in TTC stations and vehicles. These guards have advanced training in areas including:
- Mental Health First Aid
- Overdose prevention, recognition, and response training
- Nonviolent crisis intervention
Customers are also encouraged to use the TTC Safe App if they require assistance, which creates a direct line of communication to the TTC Transit Control Centre. The TTC Safe App is free, and is available for download on most iPhone or Android devices.
The TTC is also in the process of hiring over 130 Customer Service Agents, who will be deployed to key locations in the TTC network.

Real-time bus occupancy data
Customers can get real-time bus occupancy data and arrival information for the next three buses at their stop as well as the volume of passengers on those buses by using Transit, Transit Now or Track TTC on our website.
As part of a year-long pilot with Transit app, customers can also see scheduled and unscheduled bus and streetcar diversions live in the app.
