November service adjustments
Approximately every six weeks, the TTC adjusts service on buses, streetcars and subways. Some of the changes can be small, like operating a different type of bus along a route and some can be larger if they are related to planned construction or routing changes.
Starting Sunday, November 17, 2024, the following service adjustments will be made:

Construction projects ending
St Clair West Station construction has ended, and the following service will return to their regular routes:
- 33 Forest Hill, 126 Christie – Buses will now enter St Clair West Station and will no longer service the temporary stops located outside St Clair West Station.
- 90 Vaughan – Buses will no longer service Bathurst Station
- 512 St Clair - Streetcars will no longer by-pass St Clair West Station effective: Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Routing changes

12 Kingston Road bus service will change so that service on the 12D branch to the University of Toronto Scarbough campus will operate between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. during the week. Service on the 12C branch to St Clair Ave East will no longer operate.
Route 69 Warden South will change so that buses no longer operate on Birchmount Road. Service will operate from Warden Station to St Clair Avenue East at Brooklawn Ave via Kingston Road, serving community destinations such as Birchmount Park CI, Birchmount Community Centre, Variety Village, and various shops and grocery stores. Buses will alternate trips with new route 117 Birchmount South at Warden Station, and customers may remain on board to travel between the two routes.

Construction service changes
Service on the following routes will change because of planned construction:
511 Bathurst streetcars will divert to Union Station via Queens Quay, and Union Station due to planned overhead work at Fleet and Bathurst streets.
A new 511B Bathurst bus will operate from Bathurst and Queen streets to Exhibition Loop.
Customers travelling west of Bathurst Street can also board a 510D Spadina replacement bus, which will continue to operate between Spadina Station and Exhibition Loop via Queens Quay and Fort York Boulevard

New route
The 117 Birchmount South route is being introduced on November 17, 2024. Buses will operate between Warden and Victoria Park stations on Line 2, travelling via Birchmount Road and replacing the service formerly operated by the 69 Warden South. The buses will use bus bay number two at Victoria Park Station. 117 Birchmount South buses will continue to serve community destinations on Birchmount Road and on Kingston Road, new destinations such as shops and grocery stores on Victoria Park Avenue, as well as connect to additional routes such as the 503 Kingston Rd streetcar. Buses will alternate trips with the realigned 69 Warden South at Warden Station, and customers may remain on board to travel between the two routes.

What is the TTC doing to keep me safe?
The TTC has already taken a number of significant steps to enhance safety, including:
- Increasing the presence of Special Constables, as well as hiring additional Special Constables;
- Adding more Station Supervisors, Chief and Mobile Supervisors, as well as Assistant Managers in subway stations to audit station security on a regular basis;
- Deploying more uniformed TTC employees throughout the system who can contact Transit Control directly to assist customers;
- Increasing Streets to Homes workers in hotspots in the system to help individuals in need find supports;
- Improving and adding cameras in all stations and on all vehicles; and
- Having Designated Waiting Areas on every subway platform, with recently upgraded and easier-to-use two-way communications systems that link directly to TTC staff.
Also, more than 50 security guards that have daily experience dealing with under housed people in crisis will also temporarily work in TTC stations and vehicles. These guards have advanced training in areas including:
- Mental Health First Aid
- Overdose prevention, recognition, and response training
- Nonviolent crisis intervention
Customers are also encouraged to use the TTC Safe App if they require assistance, which creates a direct line of communication to the TTC Transit Control Centre. The TTC Safe App is free, and is available for download on most iPhone or Android devices.
The TTC is also in the process of hiring over 130 Customer Service Agents, who will be deployed to key locations in the TTC network.

Real-time bus occupancy data
Customers can get real-time bus occupancy data and arrival information for the next three buses at their stop as well as the volume of passengers on those buses by using Transit, Transit Now or Track TTC on our website.
As part of a year-long pilot with Transit app, customers can also see scheduled and unscheduled bus and streetcar diversions live in the app.
