TTC service changes due to the Toronto International Film Festival
The TTC will be adjusting service on the 504 King, 304 King, 503 Kingston Road, 303 Kingston Road and 508 Lake Shore streetcar routes from Thursday, September 5 to Tuesday, September 10, 2024, as a result of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Here is what you need to know:
- 504A/B King and 508 Lake Shore streetcars will operate as two branches on King Street West.
- 504A King streetcars in the west end of the city will operate between Dundas West Station and King Street and Spadina Avenue (Charlotte Loop).
- 504A King streetcars in the east end of the city will operate between Broadview Station and Kingston Road and Queen Street East (Woodbine Loop). Streetcars will then turn south on Church Street, west on Wellington Street, and north on York Street and east on King Street towards Broadview Station.
- 504B King streetcars in the west end of the city will operate between Humber Loop and King Street and Spadina Avenue (Charlotte Loop).
- 504B King streetcars in the east end of the city will operate between Broadview Station and Kingston Road and Queen Street East (Woodbine Loop)..
- 508 Lake Shore streetcars in the west end of the city will operate between Long Branch Loop and King Street and Spadina Avenue (Charlotte Loop). 508 Lake Shore streetcars will not operate in the east end of the city.
- 503 and 303 Kingston Road streetcars will operate between Bingham Loop to King and Church streets. Streetcars will then turn south on Church Street, west on Wellington Street, and north on York Street and east on King Street towards Broadview Station.
Helpful tip: Customers heading westbound from King and Church streets can board a 504 King replacement bus that operates between King and Church streets and King Street and Spadina Avenue, diverting around King Street West due to the road closures.
504 King replacement buses will divert as follows:
Westbound: from Jarvis Street, west King Street West, west King Street East, north University Avenue, west Richmond Street West, south Spadina Avenue, west King Street West, north Bathurst Street, east Adelaide Street West.
Eastbound: from Adelaide Street West, south Portland Street, east King Street West, north Spadina Avenue, east Adelaide Street West, south University Avenue, east King Street West, east King Street East, south Sherbourne Street, west Front Street East, north Jarvis Street.
304 King replacement buses will divert as follows:
Eastbound: from King Street West, north Spadina Avenue, east Adelaide Street West, south University Avenue, east King Street West, south Sherbourne Street, west Front Street East, north Jarvis Street to King Street West.
Westbound: from King Street West, north University Avenue, west Richmond Street West, south Spadina Avenue, west King Street West, north Bathurst Street to Wolseley Loop.
