Take the TTC to The Santa Claus Parade and the Holly Jolly Fun Run


The 120th annual Santa Claus Parade and the Holly Jolly Fun Run and are taking place on Sunday, November 24 and the TTC is a fast and efficient way to get you there!

The Holly Jolly Fun Run will start at 11:45 a.m. on Bloor Street, just west of Bathurst Street between Manning and Euclid avenues. It will then follow the same route as the parade but will end at Maple Leaf Square.

The parade will start at 12:30 p.m. at Bloor Street West and Christie Street directly outside Christie Station. It will move eastbound along Bloor Street West to Spadina Avenue, travel southbound on Spadina Avenue to Hoskin Avenue and then eastbound to Queen’s Park Crescent East. It will then travel down University Avenue to Wellington Street and will continue east along Wellington Street, and will head south on Yonge Street, east on Front Street, ending at the intersection of Front and Jarvis streets, at the St. Lawrence Market.

Christie, Bathurst, Spadina, and St George on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, and Spadina, St George, Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick, Osgoode, Queen and King stations on Line 1 Yonge-University, are all conveniently located along the parade route. Extra service will be added on Line 1 and on Line 2, to make it easier to get to and from the parade!

TTC staff will be available at these subway stations to answer any questions you may have.

The following routes will divert, starting at approximately 10 a.m. during the Santa Claus Parade and the Holly Jolly Fun Run:

503 Kingston Road, 504 King, 505 Dundas, 506 Carlton and 511 Bathurst streetcars will continue to operate throughout the parade. If you are travelling along these routes, please give yourself extra time. This is because Toronto Police and TTC personnel will only be allowing streetcars through when there are gaps in the parade.

  • Paying your fare: 

    Paying a fare is fast and easy on the TTC! Tap a:

    1. Debit or credit card on a PRESTO reader on a vehicle or at a fare gate.  $3.30, will be deducted, the same as the adult PRESTO fare.
    2. Physical PRESTO card or virtual PRESTO in Google or Apple Wallet on a vehicle or at a fare gate.
    3. One-ide, two-ride or day pass PRESTO Ticket on a PRESTO reader on a vehicle or at a fare gate.  PRESTO Tickets can be purchased in advance at any Shoppers Drug Mart location, Loblaws, or from a Fare Vending Machine at TTC stations.

    A tapped PRESTO, debit or credit card is a Proof-of-Payment. Be prepared to show it if asked by a TTC employee. PRESTO, debit and credit cards customers can also take advantage of the Two-hour transfer and One Fare Program. 

    Cash, TTC tickets and tokens can also be used to pay a fare. The last day the TTC will accept TTC tickets and tokens is December 31, 2024. Refunds and exchanges will not be provided.  Ask for a paper transfer from the Operator on a bus, take a transfer from the Fares and Transfers Machine on a streetcar or grab a transfer from the Transfers Machine at a station. Reminder, children 12 and under ride for free!
