Queen's Park and St. Patrick stations - station finishes renewal program
Effective spring2025until further notice
Updated March 2025
What we are doing and why
TTC continues to update the finishes at Queen’s Park and St. Patrick stations. In spring 2021, TTC completed work to relocate lighting and surveillance systems, and removed asbestos above the plaster ceiling over track and platform level (type 3 work). By late 2022, TTC completed the remaining abatement work at Queen’s Park and St. Patrick Stations.
Work details
Remaining wall finish panels, and temporary lighting supports at platform level were removed and disposed. New wall finish panels, ceiling, lighting, and surveillance system are being installed along with cosmetic upgrades. New panel installation is in progress throughout 2025.
Work hours and noise
The Queen’s Park and St. Patrick Station Finishes program has been ongoing in phases since Fall 2022 and will continue until 2026. The abatement work was conducted behind hoarding or during non-operating hours, and took place behind dust-tight hoarding with the required abatement enclosure. The project team has and continues to work closely with the contractor to ensure safe operations while the abatement enclosure is in use. The TTC Safety and Environment Unit continues to provide oversight for all abatement enclosures and work activities as required throughout construction.
Transit service changes
TTC service will continue to operate as per usual during abatement work activities. Further details will be provided when they become available.
