What is Happening and Why

The TTC’s Line 1 Wilson Station Main Lot (north parking lot), located at 50 Wilson Heights Boulevard, is one of the 22 sites for the Housing Now Initiative (a City-led project that repurposes City-owned land to develop a mix of housing options close to transit and other amenities). In 2019, CreateTO held community consultations about the future of this site as a Housing Now development, and planning approvals were received in 2020. On November 18, 2024, the parking lot will be permanently closed, and new fencing/hoarding will be installed to facilitate the construction.

For more information about the development project, please visit CreateTO’s website at www.createto.ca/50wilson.

What to Expect:

  • TTC Wilson Station Main Lot (north) will be permanently closed starting on November 18, 2024, to accommodate this new development. Commuter parking is available at the Wilson Transit Road Lot (capacity is 72 parking spaces). Alternative TTC commuter parking is available at Sheppard West (632 parking spaces), Pioneer Village (1881 parking spaces), Finch West (347 parking spaces), and Highway 407 (550 parking spaces) stations.

  • The existing north pedestrian access between Wilson Heights Boulevard and the Station will be closed during construction. After the construction, a new pedestrian access from Wilson Heights Boulevard will be available. In the meantime, pedestrians can use the pedestrian access from Wilson Avenue or other access points to the Station.

  • Protective fencing/hoarding will be installed around the parking lot and the north pedestrian access to the Station to ensure public safety.
